Return to Work
Fresh Outlooks for Return to Work Programs
Being injured on the job is difficult on employees, his/her co-workers and their employer. “Return-to-Work” (RTW) is when employers agree to offer injured employees temporary modified work duties that fall within a set of physical ability parameters. These parameters, or “restrictions,” are imposed by the injured worker’s treating physician after an examination.
A Return to Work (RTW) program is a best practice for employers to demonstrate their commitment to the health and well-being of their employees and to control their insurance costs. EAIG specializes in helping employers determine which modified duties are suitable for an injured employee.
Why is Return-to-Work important?
RTW benefits employers and employees by improving morale, maintaining productivity, helping injured employees recover faster and return to their regular jobs earlier, and reducing lost-time claim costs, litigation, and future premium increases.
